Community Assessment: The goal of community assessment is to determine the feasibility of attempting to implement programs offering sustainable solutions. To accomplish this, community dynamics are thoroughly reviewed to identify realistic options for effectively addressing challenges to achieving and sustaining a wireless environment. Creative approaches are utilized to reach total market segment inclusion. Solutions are tailored to each community to ensure that the outcomes are attainable, and readily implemented long term. Most of this work is conducted through the use of survey instruments, the reading of historical materials, direct observations during interaction, and the documentation of anecdotal data.

Program Development: The goal of program development is to effectively engage the entire community (i.e. residents, businesses, schools, faith & community based organizations) in working toward a common purpose. The result is increased community collaboration and regularly scheduled interactions among community partners to encourage networking, relationship building, and the forming of alliances. The RTED Group staff will access community profiles using the Internet and file reports on site visit activities using its virtual office.

Category III

Capacity Building: The goal of our capacity building services is to leave a part of RTED Group behind in every community served. As partners in progress, we will work diligently to ensure that the community is actively looking to make a difference and pass on the skills that RTED Group has shared with others in the area. It is in this category of service that RTED Group seeks to increase marketable skill sets spanning multiple local industries; proficiency in basic academic processes; capacity in technology driven fields; the establishment of micro-enterprises; and the number of strong voices speaking for the present and the future of their community. RTED Group's work in this category is conducted in both a virtual and face-to-face environment. At the conclusion, the objective is to have successfully conveyed the importance of technology in every walk of life and to have trained participants in its effective uses as they seek to become members of a global community.

The RTED Group will make recommendations on a selection of courses based on potential employment opportunities or categories of noticeable deficiency for a large segment of the population. After the selection, work will begin with our alliance members to implement the wireless network and provide training on its use in each of the previously listed subject areas.
